
Leadership in the 21st century and more specifically in schools... How has technology in the 21st century influenced, impacted or rather enhanced leadership?
Are school Principals, leadership teams or leadership practiced by teachers in various areas within teaching and learning of today, required to be a different type of leader than say a decade or two ago. How has technology influenced leadership? Is there a missing ingredient that now emerges given the pace of change, the continuous creation of knowledge, the ease of access to information, and the Y generation?
I am not saying that themes like ministry, stewardship, value and vision based leadership are not worthy of discussion, because I do strongly believe that they are at the heart of leadership. Especially the formation of relationships in our Catholic school context is far more important. However, How can technology be used to its fullest potential to further enhance leadership? And how does technology influence the style of leadership?
What do you think? let's start off with the easy and more obvious and work our way up ... I suspect that we already practice a lot of these strategies without realising...
